Lightening your hair with Head & Shoulders.

Okay, so recently I dyed my hair blonde.

In the past I have 'tried', and I stress on tried, to dye my hair blonde. Unfortunately, it never went as planned, and always ended up going bright ginger; or orange. The last time I did it was in December- It didn't work so I dyed my hair bright red instead:

I loved the red, but school said that if I didn't dye it back, they would kick me out. It took me a month to dye it back to brown, because I did love it. However, next June I leave school anyway so I can dye it bright then!

So, last month was my birthday and I decided to go blonde by going to the hairdressers (at last). Before I went to them, my hair colour was dark brown, with lighter and redder shades of brown throughout:

I went in and they made me an appointment to come in and have it dyed. Before that, however they told me to use head and shoulders, or fairy liquid to lighten in.

The salon 'hair professional' woman told me that head and shoulders would lighten my hair in 3 washes.

When I came back in, coincidentally, 3 days later, she dyed it and the blonde came out perfectly.

It's not the lightest blonde in the world, but considering I had dark hair, it worked really well!
Also, it does look a lot lighter in the sun!
