IT'S JUNE!! -Squeal- My birthday's in 19 days and then I'll be 15!
Okay, so it's June and the middle of summer (or start, I don't know), except in the UK, we haven't really been getting a lot of sun:(
So what has happened in May?
For me, not a lot of good things. My dad's funeral was on the 7th of May. He had a good send off though, the crem was full, so some people had to stand up, and most of his friends were there; Some travelled from different countries to be there. I am a lot like my dad so I could talk to his 'heavy metal/hippy' friends without failing conversation.
Also, my granddad broke up with his schizophrenic girlfriend after she told her psychiatrist that she wanted to hurt my baby brother. Things have been going on with her but I won't say anymore.
Finally, I was in hospital for a few days, due to anorexia. I came out of hospital last Monday, and a referral has been put in to go into an eating disorder clinic in Chester.
What has happened to you in May?
My first favourite is bubble bath. It doesn't have to be Radox (that's just the one I'm using right now). My favourite bubble bath that I use is actually, imperial leather bubble bath, in Japanese Spa. It makes your skin so soft, which is what I want from a bubble bath.
Having bubbles in your bath always draws you in. I don't know why, but for me it just makes me want to get in the bath as soon as bubbles appear. The scent also does that; although it's not a strong smell, you sort of get whiffs of the bubble bath. And, you always come out feeling and look so clean!
God, these pictures look so stretched in!
Anyway, my second May favourite is the 'Garnier Pure Active Daily Energizing Gel Wash'. What it does it targets your pores to keep them clean and closed, basically. You wet your face and rub this gel onto it, especially into the areas that are prone to oiliness and spots. So, your chin, nose and forehead.
I like this, not because it closes my pores, or stops the oiliness. Although the oiliness is definitely under control after using this. I love the way my skin feels after I have washed it off and dried my face. I just feel so awakened and... energized (ignoring the pun- if that was a pun:/), and my face is so silky and soft to touch. After using this I do feel much better. Also my face in it's self looks awakened and brightened. It actually tricks me into thinking I don't need to wear make-up for a bit.

So, these two are basically my little monthly miracle workers.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (as I'm sure you all know) and Along Came Betty, Hot Cloth Cleansing Kit.
Yes, they both are hot cloth cleansers. But, they both do different things. While Liz Earle takes your make-up off and cleanses, Along Came Betty is like a one minute mask and a cleanser.
Along Came Betty, claims to help your skin become one of the 1960's film stars. Somehow, I don't think our skin has changed a lot since the 60's, but oh well. What I like about this brand of a cleanser, is that afterwards your skin feel feels different to what it did before. It's like it has temporary healing powers that wash over your face and cleans it all out. Almost like soap has been on your face for an hour and when you wash it off, you feel that much better. Okay, I might be over-exaggerating, but it's what it makes me think of. The smell is amazing; anyone who has smelt cocoa butter will know that- and the smell doesn't wash off! Bonus!
Liz Earle! What can you even say about Liz Earle that people don't already know. It take's my make-up off really easily, but when I wear eye-liner (which is nearly everyday) it doesn't all come off. Otherwise it's make-up removing system is very gooooood. My skin is really clean afterwards. Also, having high end products makes me happy.

Next, is the dermalogica, daily microfoliant. Some of you might already know about this from the November glossy box or elsewhere. It's a bit of the pricey side at £38.50, but you can get smaller sizes to fit your spending budgets.
This is a exfoliator, that claims to gently exfoliate the skin, leaving it noticeably smoother and brighter.
I've got to say, it does exactly what it says. When you wash the powder off, your face literally looks brand new! I put this on hours ago and my skin is still as smooth as it was then, granted I've not put any make-up today- and, unfortunately the smoothness goes away when you do put your make-up on.
If you live to have beautiful skin, I do suggest this, as it's a models favourite and we all wish we had models skin...
I don't have beautiful skin (I am a teenager!), but I've only been using this for a few days and already it's my favourite!
It's a powder that you shake onto wet hands and rub together until a sort-of paste gets created. Next you massage it onto your face for a minute, before rinsing off.

This was taken before I rinsed the product off. As you can see some of the product is still around my nose and eyes.
|
Afterwards, your skin will feel so smooth and soft and loving and other words I can't think of...
Also, it stops oiliness!
Don't you wish you were a model so you could get these things for free.
TRESemme has finally won me over!
I have always wanted blonde hair, so in two years I have bleached my hair about 7 times for the full 60-90 minutes, so it is very damaged. In these two years I have tried numerous different products to help tame my damagedness. Finally I had to cut half of my hair off (that was the most damaged), to get it somewhat back to normal.
Before-
After-
After 7 years of hating and so, not having short hair, I have it again. Joy.
Anyway, this shampoo and conditioner claims to remove up to 2 years of damage (lucky me, it came out at the right time). So I thought, I better try it to see if it works. Hallelujah!
While I'm not sure if my hair isn't damaged anymore, I am sure that my hair has not felt this good in a long time. Right now, it's my favourite shampoo and conditioner- next to John Frieda Liquid shine illuminating shampoo and conditioner.
My hair feel so smooth and silky; so much so, that it doesn't need to be straightened. It's soft to the touch and soooooo shiny!
I always blow-dry it straight- even though it's never really straight.
The only thing is, is that it hasn't strengthened my hair at all. It still falls out in clumps, and it still ends up all over the bathroom tiles.
On the back of the bottles, it tells you instructions to follow. I suggest following them all, as it really helps the end result.
It's summer, so I want a summer body. Sometimes I do use fake tan- as you can see on one of my posts, but I don't always want that smell to be around me.
So, because I do use fake tan, I don't know if this has given me that 'sun-kissed' look. I wish I did, but I don't.
So, the only reason this is in my favourites, is because I like the smell and the way my skin feels afterwards. I look soft and smooth skin and this gives me just that, all day. The smell is really nice and it also stays all day. I like it for those reasons only.
Apart from the packaging- I like the packaging too, it was one of the reasons I bought this actually.
